Blues survive Brechin fightback
Stranraer held off a second-half comeback from Brechin to book their place in the Scottish Communities League Cup second round with a 4-3 victory.
Ryan Borris opened the scoring with a low finish from 12 yards, before Scott Robertson doubled the home side's lead when his shot sailed into the top-right corner.
Christopher Aitken put the Blues firmly in control from the penalty spot after Martin Grehan was felled by Jonathan Brown and David McKenna scored within minutes of the restart with a left-footed strike to put Stranraer four up.
Ryan Donnelly's right-footed effort pulled one back for Brechin on 55 minutes, the substitute grabbed his second with seven minutes to go and Robert Barr netted in the dying stages but Stranraer were not to be denied.
