Stranraer down Brechin in five-goal thriller
Craig Malcolm struck a brace as Stranraer came from behind to shock Brechin 3-2.
Stranraer were awarded a penalty on the half-hour after Gerard McLauchlan fouled Robert Love, Malcolm stepping up and emphatically powering the ball into the top corner.
Brechin fought back in style, though. First, Derek Carcary's bullet header from Alan Trouten's cross after 34 minutes levelled the scores, and just four minutes later Paul McLean rifled in from 18 yards.
But Malcolm hit his second after 70 minutes when he got on the end of a Ryan Borris pass to hammer home from the edge of the area for his 15th goal of the season.
And the game swung decisively in Stranraer's favour five minutes later thanks to Chris Aitken's 30-yard wonder strike.
