Cameron Belford shines as Stranraer claim first win at Peterhead's expense
Stranraer picked up their first win of the season and climbed off the foot of the Ladbrokes League One table with a 1-0 victory over Peterhead.
Mark McGuigan scored the game's only goal after 26 minutes as the Blues - who conceded 11 goals in their first three matches - held out for a clean sheet.
That was largely thanks to a man-of-the-match display from goalkeeper Cameron Belford, who produced heroics to keep Peterhead at bay.
Craig Thomson set up McGuigan for an angled finish and Willie Gibson nearly made it two only to be denied by Fraser Hobday.
Stefan McCluskey saw several attempts at an equaliser stopped by Belford, who also had a little help from the woodwork late on.
