Staunton sits out for Stranraer
Stranraer have defender Mark Staunton suspended for the visit of Alloa as the Blues look to repeat December's 3-2 success over their promotion-chasing visitors.
Defender David MacGregor misses out again due to a knee injury.
Manager Stephen Aitken said: "We won the last meeting here with Alloa and we can win this one if we play as well as did that day.
"They are a really good side and only playing as well as we did that day will see us with this one.
"We have got ourselves into eighth place with eight games to go and that has been a good turnaround but nothing has been achieved yet. We have been strong at home for most of the season and hopefully we can show that again."
Alloa have been given a triple injury boost ahead of the trip as Jason Marr and Darren Young are available after injury and Ryan McCord is now free of suspension.
Recreation Park manager Paul Hartley is looking for his men to bounce back from two defeats in a row.
"We have lost our recent games but I cannot be too critical of the players as they have played well in both of them," he said.
"All that we were missing was a touch of good fortune and I am sure that will return soon enough.
"Stranraer beat us down at their place in our last meeting so a win and three points closer to securing a play-off place will be a good day's work for us."
